Changing or Cancelling a Reservation, and Whose Windows These Are

The windows below belong to the operators, not to this desk, and they are printed rather than described as flexible. A desk that does not own the ground cannot promise you a rule it does not set.

01The windows

What you are doingNotice we needWhat happens
Changing a date, a time or a grade of stallAs early as you can, and at least a dayIn most cases the same operator carries the amended reservation at no charge
Cancelling, outside the winter monthsTwenty four hours before the drop off hourThe reservation is released and nothing is owed
Cancelling, between January and MarchForty eight hours before the drop off hourSame, and this longer window is the operator's because space is tighter
Cancelling inside the windowAs soon as you knowThe operator may hold you to one day at their rate. Ask us and we will ask them
Not turning up at allNothing, but tell us anywayThe operator releases the stall, and their terms decide whether anything is owed

Those figures are as of August 7, 2026 and they are the common windows across the lots we work with. The quote for your dates names the operator's actual window before you agree, and if it differs from the table the quote is right and the table is a summary.

02A cancelled flight is not a cancellation you pay for

An outbound flight that is cancelled, diverted, or delayed far enough to make the trip pointless is a different thing from changing your mind. Tell us what happened and we take it to the operator.

We cannot promise the outcome, because it is theirs to decide. What we can promise is that we ask, that we tell you what they said, and that we do not quietly keep anything, because there is nothing for us to keep: no money passes through this desk.

03A request that was never confirmed

If you sent a request and never agreed to a rate, there is nothing to cancel. Nothing was held, nothing was owed and no card was taken, because there is no card field on this site.

You do not need to tell us, and you are welcome to. A one line message saves us checking back.

04Coming back later than the reservation says

The operator prices the extra days on their overrun terms, which are named in the quote for your dates. Overrun is the single most common surprise on a long stay, and the way to avoid it is to give a realistic return date rather than an optimistic one.

If you know in advance that the return has moved, telephone during desk hours and we move the dates. That is a change rather than an overrun, and a change is cheaper.

05Why this page does not say flexible

Because the flag would be false. flexible_cancellation is set to false in the claims sheet with a written reason, and the reason is on this page: the windows belong to the operators, we do not set them and we will not describe somebody else's rule as flexible in order to make our own page sound better.

What we do instead is print the windows, name the operator's actual window in the quote, and ask on your behalf when something goes wrong.

06How to do it

Telephone +1 (520) 886-3174 during desk hours. The desk is worked Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. Arizona keeps Mountain Standard Time the whole year and never moves its clocks, so that window is the same in July as in January while the rest of the country shifts twice. Saturday and Sunday nobody is here, and anything sent then is answered on Monday.

Changes and cancellations are not taken by form, because a form does not tell you immediately whether the operator agreed and a telephone call does. If you cannot call, write to stalls@heronjunction.com with the dates and we will call you back inside desk hours.
